Weaver's Landing and You & Me Coffee & Tea

Since I have been having several gigs in one week, I have decided to lump them all into one big post each week.. I hope that's okay with you all! The week of 4/25 I performed at Weaver's Landing and You & Me Coffee & Tea which are both in the London-Corbin area. If you want the scoop on the shows, keep reading!

Weaver's Landing - 4/26

Weaver's Landing is a restaurant that is actually a part of the London-Corbin Airport. When we pulled in, we could see the rotating beacon and all the planes near the run way. I have some pretty severe flight anxiety (even though I have flown many times) so just the sight made my stomach knot up! Inside the restaurant, they had a stage adorned with lights and karaoke equipment, a full bar and several big screen TV's! Outside, there was a nice patio which would be great for summer nights.

I sang for about 2 hours to a smallish crowd. It was a Tuesday night so it was a little slower than usual. There was a woman who came to watch me because she remembered me from Old Town Grill last summer. I thought that was super cool and nice of her (and if she's reading...Hi, Crystal!).

Fun Fact: My mom fixed my hair in the car because I was trying to get there on time. Songbird Radio lasts until 6pm and I had to be there by 8. You do the math...

You & Me Coffee & Tea 4/30

You & Me Coffee & Tea is a coffee shop located in downtown Corbin, and let me tell you, that area is poppin'!! There were so many people stirring around downtown on the sidewalks and in the various shops and restaurants, even in the rain! It was my first time performing here and I have to say it was a very neat venue! The tables and chairs were all different, and they even utilized old school chairs to give it a vintage flair. Everything came together to make this coffee shop so eclectic and cozy.

I set up in the corner by the windows and I enjoyed getting to see all the people and traffic going by. I sang for about 2 hours with a coffee house appropriate set list. I even pulled out my ukulele and harmonica to do a few tunes.

I loved playing at both of these venues and I hope to be back soon! As always, I'll have any upcoming shows under the "2016 Schedule" tab above. My next show is in Beattyville, KY at the Art Factory on Saturday, May 6th. Hope to see everybody there!
