Appalachian Voices That Care and the Art Factory

Appalachian Voices That Care 4/6

I'm back to share another week of performances with you! The first performance of this week was at the Owsley County High School. The program was put on by OCARE (Owsley County Alliance for Recreation and Entertainment) in hopes to raise money for the Booneville Entertainment Center and Noble Pioneer Village. I performed two pieces for the program. All the songs were centered around hope, caring, and helping others. My first song, "Hands," was selected by Mr. Baker and I learned it specifically for this program. The second piece was a song I wrote called "When I Lost My Soul." I really enjoyed this program and all the positivity it brought to the area!

The Art Factory 4/7

After playing the Appalachian Voices that Care Program on Friday night, I headed over to Beattyville, KY to play at the Art Factory. The Art Factory is such a neat little coffee shop/donut shop/tattoo parlor. They have couches along the walls and tables made out of recycled barrels. They sell lots of handmade goods from locals; I think that is so cool! I started playing around 1:00 pm and wrapped up near 3:00. I was joined by my good friend John Davis and he accompanied me on the cajon. I had several family members and friends that showed up to support me and it made me so happy! It is always such a good feeling to look out at the audience and see people you know supporting you! After I finished up, the owners of the shop insisted on me taking some donuts home (I didn't mind), so they boxed me up some chocolate with cream and they were to die for! I can't wait to get my hands on a maple bacon special they have. My mouth is watering while I'm typing... In short, I cannot wait to get back to the Art Factory!

I have 2 big announcements having to do with my music and I cannot wait to share with you guys! Thank you so much for reading! Come back next week, please! If you'd like to be notified when I make a new post, enter your email at the bottom of the page.
